They love it.

I just wonder if I ever did have a girl, would she love it too???  By the way while styling Carter's hair earlier this week he says, "Momma, I love you." I love you too Carter. Then he looks at me with the most serious look and says, "when are you going to have a baby girl in your belly?" No time soon my love, no time soon! I'm really starting to think he has some sort of pregnancy E.S.P.  Hmmm....

Pedicures by Carter

I've been saying for several days now that I need to go treat myself to a pedicure.   These swelling legs/ankles are not the most beautiful things to be trying to "doll up".  Tonight Carter had an early bath and my feet were so sore I propped them on the side of the tub while he was playing.  He looked at them and said, "Oh no momma!  Your feet are big again!"  I've explained best I know how to him that this is just part of momma having a baby.  He says, "Tucker did that to you momma?"  He's going to think Tucker is out to get me by the time all this is over with, LOL!!!

Anywho, after throwing these big ole cankles, tree stumps, logs, call them what you will, up on the side of the tub my sweet little boy rubbed them and said, "I'll wash them for you momma!"  He's such a good child.  His Daddy won't come within inches of my feet or anyone else's for that matter! :)  Maybe the woman Carter marries will be blessed with foot rubs!!  Come on ladies, we all know we like to have our feetsies rubbed!

He rubbed, and washed, and rubbed and washed.  For five minutes I was in complete heaven.  It was almost as good as being in the massage chair at the nail shop, but I was sitting on the toilet by the tub.  Now that my friends is being desperate!  :)  I must say, it was the best foot massage/pedicure I've ever received.  It came with more love and cheer then anyone else could ever bring.  I called for Travis to bring my camera because I surely never ever want to forget this evening!! :)

My pedicure, I guess that's what you could call it, was short lived.  That's okay though.  My sweet boy was taking care of his momma.  As I watched him rub my feet ever so gently and talk to me about little stuff, I thanked God for him yet again.  A true, true blessing in my life.  He made me realize again today that I am blessed beyond measure.  After his bath, we had dinner (homemade pizza), and as I listened to him say the blessing, and then watched him eat his pizza, I just asked God to continue to let me realize how truly blessed I am with each day that passes.  I still watch Carter and wonder just how much better my life can be, how many more blessings can our home hold?  It's all the little things that any mother will tell you are what make our lives complete.  The little hugs, the kisses, the giggles that fill the room!  Saturday night, Valentine's Day my mom offered to keep Carter and we took him over for his visit.  When we returned home Travis and I both agreed that when our little buddy is not here, it's not the same.  It's too quiet.  When I picked him up on Sunday and we made our way back home, I just sat on the couch and smiled as I watched him play in the floor with his Dad.  His giggle made the house a home, his chatter made us complete.  I said all of that to say, I love my life.  I love everything about it.  Some days are full of chatter, running, messes, and a little mischief but when that chatter, running, messing, and mischief is not around I realize just how much I need it in my life.

Whether it be foot rubs, or messes, I'll take what each day brings and do my best to find the joy & blessing in each!

To foot rubs & messes my friends,
Jen

Little Tucker William

Thursday morning we went for my 20 week (can you believe that) ultrasound. As all of you know, we were told 5 weeks ago that we are having another boy. The tech this morning confirmed that this little lady, me, is officially out numbered by boys!!! We couldn't be happier. Another little cowboy to add to our family.

Little Tucker William, is growing just as he should be. According to the ultrasound he is a whopping 11 ounces, and is in the 35% percentile. He and I are both doing very well. My nausea has pretty much left me and went on to some other unfortunate soul. I feel great, and Tucker is sure to let me know each and every day that he is in there doing well. He is quite the little kicker and doesn't liked to be cramped in any way, shape, or form.

Carter was with us for the ultrasound today. He was a bit hesitant at first, but eventually said hello to his baby brother. He is very curious about all this baby stuff, and I can't wait to see how it really plays out in just a few more months. Should be very interesting!! :)

So, that's all for now. Just chugging along one day at a time counting down the weeks. They've flown by thus far. I think building the house has really helped keep my mind off of it. Speaking of, we should be moving in this weekend and the first of next week!!! Hooray!

Take care & blessings to all!!

Love,
Jen

And then there were FOUR!

So, I'm late at posting this. I've not been feeling my best lately. We found out on July 1, that we, well I, am expecting our 2nd child! I am due March 11, 2009. We have had our first ultrasound at 7 weeks and everything seem to be going as planned. We saw a healthy heartbeat, and can't wait for another ultrasound to see the baby growing bigger. Carter is excited, he doesn't understand why he can't see the baby. He tries shinning a light into my belly button to see if he can see the baby. It's too cute.

I have mixed emotions about all of this. Yes, it was planned but I'm just anxious, more scared then I was last time for some reason. I can't wait to find out if the little one is a boy or girl. What bedding will I pick out, what will the name be, how will I handle two...I can barely handle one?! :) As God has taught me in the last year, be patient and He will see me through.

So, not only do we have a new member to the family which is great news. We are also building our new home. It was scheduled to be ready in December but things seem to be coming along a little quicker then expected. We haven't been given an exact move in date, but we are hoping maybe late October?! How exciting, new house, new baby?! That leads me to this, God is so good to me and my family. He pours out His blessings each and everyday to us. If you stop and listen, or even look around His blessings are there waiting for us to see. I am so grateful for each and every aspect of my life. I am blessed to have such a loving, supportive, hardworking husband. I have a healthy, almost, three year old, and another precious life growing inside of me. I can't wait to share this little one with the world, and for us to be a family of FOUR!!!
