You are all I need

God is all we need. Today, tomorrow, a month from now, He truly is all we need. I recently purchased the new CD by JJ Heller and it has been nothing but a blessing since I first put it in my CD player.

The song, You are all I need has truly spoke to me and I wanted to share it with you all.

I don't need a thing
My good shepherd brings me all
You are all I need
You let me catch my breadth
Even in the valley of death
You are all I need

All I need to be complete is your love
Your blood that covers me

You lift up my head
You provide the wine and bread
You are all I need
There's no need to fear
Even with my enemies here
You are all I need

All I need to be complete is your love
Your blood that covers me

Goodness and mercy are following me
You are all that I need
You make a home for me
With pastures of green as far as I see
You are all I need

All I need to be complete is your love
Your blood that covers me

I could listen to them giggle all day long. It's priceless and oh so very heartwarming!!!

Saturday Morning Farm Work

Saturday mornings are lazy for most folks, but not my group. Travis and the boys are all up before the sun even graces the sky. Unfortunate for me who prefers to sleep until it's high noon. HA!  Who am I kidding, that hasn't happened in over five years.

IMG_5509
This Saturday morning was a typical morning for us. Rise with the sun, breakfast made by Chef T-rav, and then he and Carter were going to go work some cows. Not this morning, Tucker and I were going along for the ride.

IMG_5517
The boys love watching Travis. Carter would prefer to be in the middle of things 'helping' but he's just too little still. Tucker, he is content just climbing gates, fences, four wheelers, or digging in the dirt. Travis was not even finished with the first cow before I noticed that Tucker was covered with black dirt all over his face. That's my boy!!

I love our Saturdays together. I'm still learning the ropes, and I'm pretty sure you'll always find me behind the camera!!!  There's too much to remember, you have to have eyes in the front and back of your head and I have trouble not tripping over my own two feet. So, all in all, it's best I stay on the outside of the fence and watch from afar!

T-rav giving me his Grrr! face!!  Hilarious.

Rylee Sue is TWO!

IMG_5414
I can't believe two years have flown by. My dear friend Heather, is celebrating her sweet baby girls second birthday this weekend. Watching Rylee grow from an infant into a typical fun toddler has been so special. I shared in the special day of her delivery so this little princess is extra special to me.
IMG_5437
She's full of energy, has gorgeous brown eyes, a smile that melts me and she shares the sweetest "I wuv you!".  She brings her family so much joy. I am grateful to know them, and to celebrate this sweet baby girls birthday!

Heather, she's precious. I love her so much!! Thank you for the opportunity to capture her once again in front of my camera!! I love you both!

Miss Rylee Sue, I love you sweet girl. I pray that you continue to grow big and strong. You are one very loved little girl.  I hope your second birthday is a day filled with lots and lots of giggles, and fun!  Hugs and kisses baby girl!  xoxo

That rascally rabbit

We've been over this a thousand and one times. The little redhead living in our home is mischievous!  That my friends doesn't even begin to sum this child up. The picture below is supposed to 'help' me with my mischievous little man but oh no. He's conquered that.
IMG_4933
If there is a gate, counter, chair, couch, window sill, he will climb it. Fall decorations are taking a beating, my computer has been colored, the toilet bowl brush has to be hidden, markers are OUT.OF.THE.QUESTION, bath time is a tidal wave, and sleeping well what exactly is that? Back to that gate that is supposed to keep him out. Well, it didn't do it's job and therefore we have this.
IMG_4934
Yes friends, that is my computer screen covered in black permanent marker. Nice, huh?But seriously, he's so stinking cute. He just smiles this little grin, and waves at me saying, "Hey momma!" Somedays it makes my blood boil, other days it has me doubled over laughing. Every day that we face is a complete adventure!  I never know what he's going to do and if my eyes are not on him each and every second I can promise you there will be something to clean up! For example, anyone care to guess what the picture below is???
IMG_5091
POWDER!  Sure enough, he brought the container of powder out of his room and dusted my entire dining room with it. Where was I you might ask? Sitting on the couch. Thinking he was playing with his blocks or truck. I thought that is what the banging sound I was hearing was. N.o.p.e.  Sure wasn't. It was baby powder clouding up my kitchen. On the bright side, the kitchen and dining room smelled lovely!
IMG_5269
Caught in the act, he doesn't care. He's having a ball at my expense. He's only 18 months old.  It scares me to think what this little redheaded bundle has up his sleeve in the near future.  In the meantime, pray for me. My grey hair is popping out more and more every day! Dare I even say that I have baby fever really bad, but to think I could have three monsters precious babies is a lot to consider.
IMG_5286
Then you see him like this in all his sweetness.... Lord, help me.

Rodeo time

It's no secret to anyone that knows us, we enjoy going to the rodeo and Carter LOVES it!  A few weeks ago we had the chance to go to a Jr. Rodeo just a few miles away from our house. There were little cowboys all around!!
IMG_4949
Carter was excited to ride a sheep, they call it mutton bustin'.  Travis walked him up on the platform for him to sign up. I was standing a few feet away when I hear the lady say, "we don't have sheep tonight, just baby calfs." My ears perked up, I took a few steps forward, Travis looked back at me and said, "sign him up!" Oh.my.stars!  He just signed my baby up to get on the back of a 120 pound calf, is he insane?! Obviously, right!!
IMG_5005
As they came down to where I was, I asked him if he'd lost his mind. He assured me that Carter would be just fine. I won't lie, my heart was pounding, I was nervous, but hearing him talk about it and see how excited he was a part of me couldn't wait to watch him! We had to wait for a little bit before he could ride. We watched the bull riding, some shoot doggin', and then it was time for the mutton bustin'!!!  You'd think I would be standing there biting my nails, butterflies in my stomach, but I wasn't. I was smiling from ear to ear. He climbed up on top of that calf, and within seconds he was out the gate!
IMG_5012
Within those same seconds of coming out the gate, he was on the ground. His little face covered in red dirt, and a few tears trickling down his face.
IMG_5044
Travis was right there, and I could tell he was fine. I think his spirit was broken more then anything. He made his way to me, and I asked if he was okay. His response, "I've got dirt in my eyes!" I just chuckled, poor kid didn't know what to think or expect.  It wasn't but just a few minutes when he blurted out, "I WANT TO RIDE AGAIN!"
IMG_5047
I looked to Travis and told him he had started something that I wasn't sure would end anytime soon. Our little fellow was as happy as a kid in a candy store. He walked proudly with his black hat, and shuffled his feet through the dirt as if he was a true American cowboy.
IMG_5050
IMG_5049
To say that Carter is a joy is a complete and utter understatement. He is the light to a gloomy day, the song you need at the lowest point, the warm touch to remind you it's all okay. I am so proud of the Cowboy that he is. I pray that he continues to become the loving, full of life, positive outlook person that he is. As for muttin' bustin', he's not finished. He's ready to go again. Just as soon as he gets the opportunity, he'll be back at it!
IMG_5052
Our local county fair is in town, and the rodeo is coming up this weekend. He can't wait to chase the calf and pull the flag from its tail. I have myself a natural little cowboy!! And I love every minute of it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Happy Anniversary

Seven years ago, on October 11, I was your typical jittery, nervous bride. The day I had waited my entire life for, was here. I would marry the man that I loved with every beat of my heart, every ounce of my being. He made me smile, loved me when I needed it most, and gave me everything I could ever dream of and more. A lot has changed in thirteen years, mainly our waist size... but who cares, we're happy! :)
IMG_0005
Seven years as his wife, but thirteen years together. I've spent almost half my life with him and I'm still proud to stand by his side and be his partner. He's my best friend, my rock, the one I laugh with the most, the greatest Dad, a wonderful provider, and patient. I thank God for each characteristic that Travis brings to our relationship. We're opposites, but we work.
IMG_0017
The past seven years of my life with him have been nothing short of wonderful. God has blessed us with two beautiful, healthy, precious boys. I have my look alike, he has his. The life I'm living is the one I dreamed of as a little girl. I'm not just saying that, it's the whole hearted truth. I have always dreamed of being married, having babies and staying home to be the wife and mother I feel God has put me on this earth to be. I have Travis to thank for helping to make all my dreams become a reality.
IMG_0019
T-rav,
I love you. I still love the way your hand feels in mine, the way you comfort me on the days I need it most. I cherish watching you and the boys play, hearing the giggles coming from the other room. Your a wonderful husband and father. Thank you for making every dream I  ever dreamed, become a reality. I look forward to many, many more years together as your wife. I look forward to watching our boys grow up (and even a baby girl, come on...)!
BLOG
I pray that God will continue to bless  our family and may our love for one another never die but become stronger with every day and year that passes. You are a blessing in my life and it is my prayer that each day God helps me to become a better wife to you. I love you with all my heart and soul.  Forever and always yours.... Jen
